About Bahana

Yayasan KOMUNIKASI PEMBENAHAN INDONESIA (Bahana) is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 to strengthen the role and empowerment of civil society. Bahana strives to build persuasive communication to empower communities to drive behavioral change, mobilize collective action, and advocate for public policy. Together with its sister organization, Communication for Change (C4C), Bahana conducts narrative research, runs public campaigns, assists civil society organizations in policy advocacy, and conducts strategic training in public communication and advocacy.

Natalia has published various writings on Modern China. However, her concern for social justice, governance, and sustainable development has inspired her career choices and life journey. She currently serves on the boards of several international and national nonprofit organizations.

Inaya Rakhmani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication, Universitas Indonesia. She has written academic and popular books and articles on the role of knowledge in democratic developments. She is deeply engaged in knowledge production in the Global South.

Roy Wisnu is a creative advertising professional who has spent his 30-year career in Indonesia, Singapore, and New York, building marketing communications, brand identities, and digital platforms for local, regional, and global brands.

Misty Diansharira

Misty is interested in impact-oriented communication and community development projects. She runs Sigi Indonesia, focusing on ESG communication materials for CSR programs and clients in the renewable energy and restorative economy sectors. Misty also teaches part-time at the LSPR Jakarta.

Elghafiky Bimardhika

As the Executive Director of Bahana, Fiky leads Bahana’s mission in strengthening civil society. His educational background is in economics. As a researcher, he finds storytelling with data invigorating. He has published in various international publications and online media outlets.

Treasurer

Hanna Meiliani

Hanna, as a Treasurer, supports financial management and radical transparency. Starting her career as a banker despite a forestry background, she found her passion in finance. Her experience at Bahana deepened her purpose driven approach to financial work.
